It’s a fabio quartararo on his hunger who left the Austin track which marked the third race of his first season in Moto2. On a track where he qualified ninth to finish thirteenth last year during Moto3, the Frenchman was hoping to get back on the points path marked out in Qatar with a seventh place. And thus erase the Argentinian disappointment. A mission accomplished. But more than the result, it was the way of obtaining it that left its mark.
fabio quartararo continues his journey in a Moto2 that he is discovering this season. The Sito Pons driver this time faced the Austin track on which he positioned himself on the sixteenth cone on the starting grid for the Grand Prix of the Americas. A seemingly average performance, but the Frenchman had shown during free practice that he would have to be counted on in racing conditions.
Unfortunately, an incident between two drivers relegated the tricolor to last place when completing the first lap. A situation which did not discourage Fabio, quite the contrary. Driving at a pace that would have allowed him to compete for the podium, the teammate of a Edgar Pons who gave up after falling, completed the “comeback” of the event to offer himself, with authority, a very honorable twelfth place given the circumstances. And so points!

Fabio is now twelfth in the championship with thirteen points. The next meeting is set for May 5, 6 and 7 in Jerez for the Spanish Grand Prix.
