Dovi's progression was spectacular during 2017. He was the only one to provoke Marc Marquez until the last Grand Prix. Here's how he experienced it.

“I felt this year that a lot of people were happy with my success. This makes me very proud. Also in the GP paddock I am now perceived differently.

“A lot of people I didn't expect were crossing their fingers, as were a lot of rivals, I'm really happy with this situation.

“I am a type of person who always wants to have a good relationship with everyone, if someone does not play with me, I am a relaxed person, I want to get along well with everyone, especially with my opponents .

“I think it's the same all over the world, not just in the paddock, that everyone wants to be the best, the nicest and the best... Every rider wants to have a better bike, to earn as much money as possible.

“It's the way of life that you can feel everywhere today, almost everyone in this sense, I don't do that, that's why I'm able to fight normally against the best.

“I have remained a normal person, I live in a very normal way, I have not changed as a person, even if I am lucky enough to have money and to ride in the MotoGP World Championship . My goals are to live my life with a different expectation, I think that appeals to a lot of people.

“Even a normal person can fight for the title of World Champion. And it's really true. This is the reason for my popularity. And of course, my struggles on the slopes this year have inspired many fans. »
