The least we can say is that Carmelo Ezpeleta works! It is enough to note the evolution of Dorna's workforce, from 7 people in 1991 to more than 300 today, to understand that the Spanish company is not sitting idle.

And if the most visible part concerns the Grands Prix, totally reinvigorated by the various changes in regulations (CRT, Open, etc.) and which offer us an incomparable spectacle today, the fundamental work is not left out.

Thus, the detection and promotion of young talents can only ensure the sustainability of speed sport, and Dorna does not spare its initiatives in this area: assistance for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, creation of the Asian Talent Cup, creation of the European Talent Cup, creation of the British Talent Cup, and soon, creation of the American Talent Cup!

A real funnel of champions to feed the Grands Prix, on which the big boss of Dorna enlightens us: « American children need a hero to identify with and the examples they have with Kevin Schwantz, Kenny Roberts or Wayne Rainey are too far in the past. They need an icon to inspire them and also a cup where they can race. From our experience in other countries, having an American Talent Cup would be ideal. We are working on this project to start advancing young talents in Moto3 again. When I talk about an American Talent Cup, I'm talking about Canada all the way to Argentina. We would like to use the existing MotoGP and World Superbike circuits and rounds, plus other circuits. The best talent will be able to continue internationally, but the Talent Cup will also fill the national championship brackets. We are studying this project, but at the earliest it could take place in 2020.”
