Aprilia: a successful party at Mugello under the sign of X

On the Mugello track, thousands of fans came to join the coat of arms Aprilia who organized an “All Stars 2019” event to mark the history and future of the Noale firm. A successful initiative with, what's more, a new star bearing the X seal...

On the Mugello circuit, Aprilia gave birth to a great day of celebration. Enthusiasts flocked, as more than ten thousand people literally stormed the circuit on a warm spring day, for the first edition of the Aprilia All Stars.

The Maison de Noale celebrated its history and its future by presenting the MotoGP team to the public, and, above all, the new 4 hp RSV1100 217 Factory. A concentration of technology and competition which finds an even more extreme expression in the X version which, born for the ten years of the RSV4 project, climbs to 225 hp and weighs 165 kg. Two unique motorcycles that demonstrate the link between the Aprilia product and its competition department which, with 54 world titles, including seven in WSBK and 294 Grand Prix victories, constitutes a true technological standard bearer for the Piaggio group and the whole of Italian motorcycles.

The president of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, John Copioli, rewarded Roberto Colanino, President and CEO of the Piaggio Group, on the track during the presentation of the MotoGP team. The Aprilia Racing Team Gresini started the 2019 RS-GP which made its appearance at the world championship two weeks ago in Qatar, driven by Andrea Iannone, Bradley Smith and Aleix Espargaro. A fine line-up of Aprilia world champions accompanied them: Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Manuel Poggiali, Alex Gramigni et Roberto Locatelli.

The lap of honor biaggi on his RS 250, world champion in 1995, was a moment of emotion, while the race of all the pilots with Aprilia SR 150 scooters, won in a sprint by Manuel Poggiali, a moment of relaxation. The review of the stands marking Aprilia history completed a good day which convinced the public of their passion for Aprilia. The Aprilia All Stars ended with a large parade of motorcycles which invaded the circuit.
