Fifth generation of the X series, the new Aprilia RSV4 X-GP embodies aerodynamic excellence: it is the first production-derived motorcycle in the world equipped with spoilers behind the legs and on the seat back, previously reserved only for the RS-GP prototype entered in MotoGP.

The ultimate expression of the technology developed in Noale, the RSV4 X-GP offers the most direct connection with MotoGP, introducing for the first time the structural carbon seatpost.

With the official MotoGP team livery, this is the most powerful RSV4 ever produced: 238 horsepower for only 165 kg, resulting in an unprecedented power-to-weight ratio and an unprecedented driving experience.

Presented at the Catalan Grand Prix, the RSV4 X-GP is a special edition derived directly from Aprilia Racing's cutting-edge MotoGP expertise. Produced in a limited series of 30 copies, it celebrates the tenth anniversary of the RS-GP's debut in the premier class of the motorcycle world championship.

Aprilia Racing thus consolidates its internationally renowned X brand with the RSV4 X-GP, the fifth generation of a unique project in the world. This began in 2019 with the RSV4 X, then with the Tuono X in 2020, followed in 2022 by the RSV4 X Trenta and in 2024 by the RSV4 X ex3ma. All these exclusive models are distinguished by the "X" (in reference to the Roman numeral 10) which represents the absolute pinnacle that one could wish for in a motorcycle accessible to the general public in terms of technology and performance.

It is a work of aerodynamic art, an area in which Aprilia Racing has always been recognized as a benchmark in MotoGP. In fact, the RSV4 X-GP is closely derived from the RS-GP25 in its shape, particularly from the design of the rear, capable of faithfully reproducing the airflow. The most striking new feature of the entire aerodynamic package, derived from MotoGP, are the side wings, a technology developed and patented exclusively by Aprilia Racing, as well as the rear wings, both introduced just a few months ago on the RS-GP25. The combination of the side wings and the rear wings adds aerodynamic load during braking and cornering, as do the front wing, of course, with its unique shape, the lower wing, and the cornering wings. This aerodynamically focused development is accompanied by a unique element, taken specifically from the racing prototypes: the structural carbon seat stay, manufactured by PAN Compositi, with integrated structural, aerodynamic, and aesthetic features. Another design improvement of this new feature is the “sandwich-like” carbon processing, namely a particular way of laying the carbon fiber to make it extremely light, while maintaining the desired rigidity. All this makes the rear dynamics of the vehicle even more similar to those of the racing prototype, increasing the perception of grip and ensuring a more direct feeling between the performance of the rear tire and the rider’s sensations. The package is completed by a MotoGP-style SC Project dual exhaust, designed to maximize performance and deliver a racing sound.

Featuring ground effect aerodynamics, a technology developed and patented exclusively by Aprilia Racing, the RSV4 X-GP features a particular fairing shape on the sides that reduces the air pressure between the ground and the fairing when the bike is leaned into a corner, so much so that it creates downforce that pushes the bike towards the ground.

All the fairings are manufactured in carbon by PAN Compositi using the same procedures used for MotoGP bikes to remain as faithful as possible to the Aprilia Racing prototype. Compared to the RSV4, the new version allows for five times the vertical air pressure in a straight line, increasing stability and riding precision, while reducing front end lift and tripling the load when the bike is leaned, all with enormous advantages in terms of cornering grip.

Another new feature that makes the RSV4 X-GP unique is its special livery reminiscent of the RS-GP25, a tribute to a winning bike that currently represents the latest advances in Aprilia Racing's MotoGP project.

The technical specifications describe a true MotoGP-style racing motorcycle. The 4 cc 1099° V3 with SBK racing specifications has been prepared by the Aprilia Racing department and now boasts an extraordinary maximum power of 65 hp at 238 rpm (with a maximum engine speed of 13 rpm) and a maximum crankshaft torque of 750 Nm at 14 rpm. This performance is achieved thanks to a specific V100 tuning that also includes an increased compression ratio, as well as the use of the high-permeability Sprint Filter racing air filter, air intake trumpets with racing specifications, the SC Project MotoGP replica titanium twin-pipe exhaust system with compensator, and the STM dry clutch.

The ECU that manages all active electronic controls is the Aprilia Racing APX, an exclusive component and the latest evolution of the one that played a leading role in the WSBK championships won by Biaggi and the RSV4. The ECU features operating strategies identical to those implemented for the RSV4 motorcycles used in competition and fully adjustable parameters to adapt to riding styles and track conditions, with data acquisition for performance analysis. In particular, the APX system allows the front wheel lift reduction and power, traction control and engine braking to be calibrated for each individual gear. The APX system is completed by an integrated GPS system.

The aluminum double cradle frame, which has always admirably represented Aprilia's art of building motorcycles with an agile and rigorous chassis architecture, is enhanced by mechanically controlled Öhlins suspension with dedicated adjustment, where the refined pressurized fork stands out, while the Brembo braking system includes a 19×16 front master cylinder combined with machined GP4 MS calipers fitted with Z04 pads that clamp 5,5-inch DP 330 "T Drive" brake discs, while the rear brake is clamped by a nickel-plated caliper.

The Aprilia RSV4 X-GP rides on a set of Marchesini forged magnesium wheels, shod with the same slick tires used by Pirelli in the Superbike World Championship (125/70 CS-1 at the front and 200/65 SC-X at the rear).

Aprilia Racing's characteristic attention to detail is unrivaled on this model. The two mudguards are made of carbon. The button block on the right handlebar is by Jetprime, while the adjustable footpegs, clutch lever, fuel cap, engine case guards and front brake lever are by Spider, as is the steering plate that bears the unit's serial number, all in machined aluminum. The oversized water and oil radiators are derived from WSBK technology, while the transmission includes a titanium rear sprocket and a lighter front sprocket from PBR, as well as an RK 520 chain.

Each of the 30 Aprilia RSV4 X-GP, available on the European market at a price of €90 + VAT, can be booked exclusively online from September on the website FACTORYWORKS.APRILIA.COMBuyers will also have the opportunity to pick up their bike at Aprilia Racing, with an exclusive tour of the Racing Department in Noale. In addition to the limited and numbered edition of the RSV4, they will also receive a Yashi laptop preloaded with software to manage ECU settings and electronic strategies, a dedicated NFT for the digital copy of the Certificate of Authenticity and other content managed by blockchain technology, IRC thermal tire covers, RCB titanium front and rear stands, a floor mat, and a motorcycle cover.

The Aprilia RSV4 X-GP is part of the Factory Works program launched by Aprilia Racing. It is a project conceived and created internally within the Noale Racing department to make the technology developed in competition available to those who wish to participate in top-level factory-derived championships, or to those who wish to have an RSV4 or Tuono V4 offering top-notch performance.

MASSIMO RIVOLA, CEO of APRILIA RACING
“Ten years after its return to MotoGP, Aprilia Racing wanted to celebrate the event with a truly special X, drawing as much inspiration as possible from MotoGP and transferring many of the concepts of the RS-GP25 to a factory-derived bike. It is undoubtedly a unique, beautiful and extremely intriguing product, capable of providing special sensations, which only racing riders know how to fully exploit, but which even a passionate amateur can clearly perceive. It is a product intended for a select few, which contains all of Aprilia Racing's passion, technology and artisanal love for racing.”

FABIANO STERLACCHINI, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OF APRILIA RACING
“With the RSV4 X-GP, we wanted to take a further step in our project to put the most advanced technology in the hands of our customers. Our engineers have created something that goes far beyond a simple evolution of the extraordinary X project. This is a bike truly born from the DNA of MotoGP. Several features demonstrate this: the aerodynamics with front and rear wings derived directly from the RS-GP25, the structural carbon seat support, with technology similar to that used on MotoGP bikes, and an exceptional power-to-weight ratio.
