Si Franco Morbidelli got stuck this morning with the unfortunate Miguel Oliveira (collarbone fracture confirmed), he is doing much better this afternoon by positioning himself first after ten minutes, with a serious 1'53.953. However, he was summoned by the Race Direction at the end of this session, being the author of the collision.
Behind, we find the usual Folger, Lowes, Nakagami, Zarco and Luthi, all in half a second, Kidneys still cruising around 10th place, suffering from gastroenteritis.
Marquez positions himself 4th before Mattia Pasini, who was running in a good 8th position, fell without gravity at turn #7.
Halfway through the session, Sam Lowes comes close to 6 thousandths of Franco Morbidelli.
10 minutes from the end of the session, the winner of Misano, Lorenzo Baldassarri, climbed to 4th place, two tenths off the best time of his compatriot Franco Morbidelli.
This is the moment when Johann zarco produces his effort and lights the first sector in red, but loses this advantage in the last section.
The final rush allows Simone Courses to position itself 3rd, but above all to Tom Luthi to improve the best time of the session, in 1'53.793.
But a few seconds later, and for only 1 thousandth of a second, it's finally Takaaki Nakagami who seizes the torch, and will not let go despite a temporarily victorious counter-offensive from Sam Lowes !
Johan zarco is 8th to 3 tenths and Alex Rins 15th at 1,1 seconds.
