From the start of the session, we note theabsence of Joan Mir, in the grip of a high fever, while the sky quickly becomes covered with milky white cloudiness. This does not prevent Jorge Navarro, 3rd in the championship, to take the lead in the provisional ranking at the end of the first run in 2'01.233, ahead of Binder and Bastianini.
Obviously, with such a reference time, many are working to try to lower it but the track must be really dirty because the times hardly go down and John McPhee even ended up falling without gravity at turn #8.
However, Jorge Navarro, although still slightly handicapped by his shoulder injury, achieved a 2'00.598 ten minutes from the checkered flag; we get down to serious things, and Niccolo Antonelli hears the message correctly by replying with a 2'00.369.
3 minutes from the end of the session, Jorge Navarro managed to go under two minutes in 1'59.676 while Fabio Quartararo temporarily in the Top 3.
Conversely, Jules Danilo was never able to be at his level, sailing past 20th place. He finished 23rd.
