The session begins with the best time of Valentino Rossi in 1'49.529 but this is quickly undermined by Espargaro Pol in 1'49.215, just ahead Maverick Vinales, Dani Pedrosa and Cal Crutchlow.
Dani Pedrosa took matters into his own hands after 15 minutes, setting a serious 1'48.860, thus coming close to the best time of the morning set by his teammate. At this moment, Marc Marquez is curiously only 9th by more than 8 tenths.
Mid-session, Espargaro Pol, still second, fell without gravity in turn #2, followed a few seconds later by his brother on the Suzuki.
Before final packaging, the hierarchy is therefore as follows: Pedrosa, Pol Espargaro, Vinales, Rossi, Crutchlow, Lorenzo, Aleix Espargaro, Hernandez, Dovizioso and Marquez. Loris Baz is 20th, between Pirro and Hayden.
During the latter, Marc Marquez fitted new tires, like everyone else, and achieved a 1'48.494, almost 4 tenths better than this morning, while turn #2 this time saw Eugene Laverty go to the ground.
4 minutes from the checkered flag, Valentino Rossi improves his time and positions himself less than 2 tenths behind the Honda driver but it is Cal Crutchlow which comes close to less than a tenth.
Dani Pedrosa produced his effort and took over in 1'48.429. The first three drivers, all in Hondas, fight by thousandths of a second while Alex Lowes fall, still at turn #2.
The main loser of this session is called Jorge Lorenzo, 7th by half a second, even if the times are quite tight, with 14 drivers in 8 tenths.
