There was a time when reaching the finish line in 4th and 7th positions would have delighted the men from Hamamatsu. This weekend in Aragon, after the victory at Silverstone and the hopes placed in Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro, one qualified second and led the race, the other easily second in the warm up, it is quite different.

Ken Kawauchi, Technical Director: “My feelings after this race are mixed; the positives are that Maverick fought for the podium and Aleix had a great race to fight for a good position and finished the race without falling. There is also a little disappointment if we consider our expectations. The weekend was positive with both drivers still fast, and the pace this morning gave us hope of a podium and a better position. Anyway, both drivers finished the race, in not so bad positions, we also proved that our work is progressing better and better this season. We will continue to aim for our second victory and a few more podiums. The next race is in Japan, and a lot of people from the Suzuki factory are coming to see us, and there will be a lot of fans filling the stands; it will be an emotionally intense race given that we have been constantly fighting with the best teams and drivers recently. »
