This is already the third Grand Prix of the year which will take place in Spain, but it will only be the first on Iberian soil for Alex Rins, who unfortunately had to withdraw from his own country for the races in Jerez and Barcelona , due to injuries.

After this painful and difficult start to the season, Alex is back at his best level and he is making the best use of the GSX-RR, despite the upheavals that are causing the Suzuki team with the procrastination of Andrea Iannone. Rins tries to avoid splashing and keep his distance from this delicate situation.

He showed great possibilities in Misano during the last Grand Prix by managing to finish in eighth position, despite the wet track. It was his best result achieved so far in MotoGP, the previous ones having been ninth place in Qatar and Silverstone.

According to alex rins, who are " We are going to Aragon at what I think will be a good time. Since the start of the season, with calm and consistency, we have been able to better understand the GSX-RR and also the MotoGP category. Little by little we manage to be stronger and I hope that in Aragon we will continue to grow.

“It will be my very first Grand Prix in MotoGP in Spain because I was absent due to injuries in Jerez and Barcelona. I am sure that the Spanish spectators present at the circuit will give me enthusiasm and inspiration. »

According to Davide Brivio, the team manager, “ We are getting closer to the final rush of the season and Aragon will be the penultimate round in Europe, so it is an important race in the search for that competitiveness that we have been pursuing since the start of the season. We are very happy with the progress Alex has made in the last few races, and our goal is to continue on this positive path.

“At the same time, we are working hard to provide Andrea with a machine that meets his needs and gives him a better feel to realize the potential I believe he has. After the race, we will stay in Aragon for two or three days of private tests, both with Alex and with Andrea, to compensate for those we did not do after Misano due to the disrupted weather which only allowed Sylvain Guintoli to ride as a test driver.

“This will provide a more actionable amount of data and information, encompassing the race and the test. They will be very useful to prepare well for the last four races and also start looking towards 2018.”
