If the images offered today live by Dorna are already exceptional and contribute greatly to the quality of the show, the Spanish company nevertheless continues to continually improve them, and hardly a few months go by without something new go in this direction.

Thus, after the tracking camera of the Pit-Lane (see here), the gyroscopic on-board camera (see here) and the 6-axis Shotover (see here), all implemented less than a year ago, Dorna offered its subscribers, during the last Aragon Grand Prix, the possibility of following Maverick Vinales' race live with the zoetrope, whose name comes from the optical toy invented during the 19th century, whose roots come from the Greek 'Zoe' for life and 'Tropos' for movement.

This device, called Zoetrope, is made up of four cameras covering 360° without discontinuity, and therefore made it possible not only to follow the race from the Spanish driver's Yamaha M1, but also to orient the lens as you wished, to look ahead or behind, depending on where the action was, all live!

This season, Johann Zarco, Pol Espargaro et Andrea Dovizioso had already received a 360° camera on their bike, but the video was not available until after the race was over. In Aragon, this was the first time this functionality was available live.

There is no doubt that it will not be the last...
