When the conditions are difficult, for example like today in Aragon for the MotoGP with a track too wet to use slicks, but drying over the laps, and when in addition the days of Saturday and Sunday are expected to be sunny, several options are possible, ranging from staying in the box most of the time to using the asphalt to familiarize themselves with the Spanish MotoGP track.

It is of course this last solution that Johann Zarco used, 3rd this morning and 3rd this afternoon, with a single run of 15 laps launched in the morning and 13 laps launched after lunch, for a total of 33 laps which constitutes the record of the day.

Johann zarco, 3rd: “I’m quite happy with this first day in Aragon. For me, it was a good thing to do my first laps on a MotoGP here in the wet. When it's like this, I can take more time and I don't need to stress too much. This is because when you have to attack from the first lap in the dry, it's quite difficult and you can then feel a little tired on Sunday. Therefore, I am happy that it was wet today, and also that the feeling was positive. In Misano I didn't have much confidence in the rain because of the asphalt. However, the track being good here, I was able to manage well and improve lap after lap. Even this afternoon I lost a few positions but I stayed calm, waited and then attacked at the end of the session. Now I'm ready for tomorrow. »
