By consulting the session sheets, we see that Jonas Folger chose a strategy opposite to that of his teammate during this first day in Aragon: many short runs allowing him to work on the bike more than on the rider.
The results, 13th this morning, 18th this afternoon, are therefore logically not extraordinary in the short term, especially as the conditions have continued to change over the minutes.

Jonas Folger, 18th: “It was a tricky first day because the weather made things difficult. In the second session, the track was wet at the start, but it cleared up. It was therefore not easy to use settings for the wet since the track was drying at the same time, and we then had to readjust the configuration for the dry. For me, as a driver, it was not easy to adapt to these conditions. Also, we didn't take many risks today, but we tried to work on our settings for the rain, and the main goal was to improve, especially in the rain. In the end, we are further away than we would like to be, but it looks like the weather will be better tomorrow and Sunday, so we will attack in FP3 and then get closer to the lead. »
