Always performing well in Aragon in MotoGP, Lorenzo demonstrated once again with the second time his perfect adaptation to this circuit, but also his progress aboard the Ducati Desmosedici.
Jorge likes the MotorLand circuit, which has always been successful for him. Winner in Aragon in 2014 and 2015 in the MotoGP category, he also reached the podium four other times, with a third place in 2011, and three second positions obtained in 2012, 2013 and 2016.
In total, he has always been on the podium in the last six editions, and his second time this Friday could indicate that the series is not over, but in progress.
During the first free practice session on Friday morning, Lorenzo set the sixth time, which was not extraordinary in itself. But on the other hand he ranked first among the Ducati riders, while Danilo Petrucci was eighth in Andrea Dovizioso tenth. It was a good start, and in the afternoon on a track with precarious grip Jorge confirmed his great form on the Aragonese track with an excellent second time.
According to Jorge Lorenzo, who are " I'm happy with my day because I was one of the fastest riders in the morning and afternoon, but the conditions in both sessions were very strange.
“The track surface was neither dry nor completely wet, so it is very difficult to draw any important conclusions after this day of testing. I would have preferred to shoot in dry conditions, but just as we were about to go out it started to rain.
“Luckily, the forecast for tomorrow indicates that the weather will be good. We should have a chance to work better. »
