Italian social media continues to peddle the conspiracy theory that Valentino Rossi did not actually break his leg in the fall he suffered while riding Enduro.

So much so that the Yamaha rider was questioned on the subject during the private press conference he gave in Yamaha hospitality after FP2.

“Guys, think whatever you want, there’s nothing I can do! " he replied, laughing, but also lifting up the leg of his shorts and lowering the protection of his leg to show the area where a nail was inserted to immobilize the fracture of his tibia.

"When these things happen, a lot of stupid things are said, and I have no interest in showing the hurt I had. If you want, I will show you the x-rays… although it was also stated that they were stolen, but they never appeared anywhere.”

It’s clearly heartbreaking to come to this…
