13th and 21st at the end of the first 3 free practice sessions in Misano, Álvaro Bautista and Karel Abraham had nevertheless raised the bar by seizing the first two positions of Q1 under the nose of Hector Barbera , Jack Miller, Loris Baz, Jonas Folger, Pol Espargaro and other contenders.

Qualified in 10th and 12th positions, the two holders of Team Pull&Bear Aspar could therefore claim to take advantage of the particularly humid weather conditions to make a splash on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

This was not the case and, on the contrary, it was even at the end of an ordeal thatAlvaro Bautista crossed the line 12th position more than one minute seventeen seconds behind Marc Márquez, Karel Abraham doing the same in 17th and last place with more than a lap behind…

It is therefore easy to understand that the two Ducati riders are keen to forget this Italian episode to go to the Motorland Aragon circuit bathed in particularly sunny weather!

Alvaro Bautista : “I'm looking forward to racing at home again and putting in a performance for our fans, especially after such a tough weekend in Misano, especially during the race. We didn't have a good feeling in the wet and it didn't go as we had hoped. Motorland is a circuit where I usually have good fights. It's quite special with these fast and slow sections, these elevation changes and these blind crests... It's a complete circuit and you can have a lot of fun there. Hopefully we can fly off to the overseas races with a good taste in our mouths. »

Karel Abraham : “Aragon is a circuit that could suit us, certainly more than Misano, anyway. The long straights should be good for the Ducati and I can't wait for the weekend to start and put the San Marino race behind us. We hope the weather holds, because Aragon can experience extremely hot and cold temperatures. »
