As could be expected, things are moving on this second day of the Argentine Grand Prix. On a Termas de Rio Hondo track which is erased at the same time as the protagonists take stock of it, the hierarchies of the day before are no longer quite those of today. Moto2 was no exception to the rule.
It is Jonas Folger who took charge of the Moto2 demonstration by taking the top of the timesheet at the end of a session initially dominated by a Johann zarco confirming his good intentions. Then the Frenchman was overtaken by a Alex Rins who got back on the right path and even Sandra Cortese at the end of the exercise, the German not wanting to leave the spotlight to his teammate. So much so that among the leading trio of this last free race we find the two drivers from the Dynavolt team.
The World Champion is therefore fourth in a competition which has not yet reached the speed of last year. A year ago it was Sam Lowes who started Saturday with authority with a time of 1'42.961. This time, we had to settle for a 1'43.594. The fact remains that 21 drivers stand in a single second.
Simone Courses closes the top 5 to one agitated in renewed form and who dominated his companion Lüthi only tenth. Lowes is seventh whileAlex Marquez fell to sixteenth place. The first Tech3 driver is twenty-fourth and it is still about Virgin.
