The five Moto2 races held at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit were won by four different riders, three of whom are now competing in the MotoGP class: Tito Rabat (2014), Johann zarco (2015 and 2016), Franco Morbidelli (2017) and Mattia Pasini (2018). But None of the current Moto2 riders have materialized in the category at Termas de Rio Hondo. Sam Lowes (2015 and 2016), Tom Lüthi (2016) and Xavi Virginie (2018) are the protagonists on the grid to have reached the Argentinian podium. Moreover, Lorenzo Baldassarri is the only one who can claim an achievement with the engine Triumph. And for good reason, since Qatar was the first race with this mechanism. Will the Italian achieve the double or will he hand over to one of his opponents?

25° in the air, 36° on the track, the asphalt is dry although the clouds are threatening. The morning, Schrötter had shown off his muscles by taking full ownership of the warm-up session. Lüthi followed as Lowes while Brad Binder gave KTM hope.

In the formation lap, the pole sitter Virgin sees himself betrayed by his motorcycle. It is therefore Schrötter which controls the grid when the lights go out. Lowes enters the corner first after the start, but he moves aside, leaving the German in the lead for 23 laps. Alex Marquez follows after a good start.

Brad Binder is only tenth, Lüthi fifth while Manzi fall at turn 1. Gardner climbs second and takes the lead on the second lap. Marini is eighth. Baldassarri fourth and Lowes bout Lüthi out of the top 5. In 1'43.012, Gardner sign, by far, the best tour. He obviously wants to escape, and quickly...

The Australian from a good family gives himself a six-tenths gap on Schrötter who went hunting. Behind, Alex Marquez retains Baldassarri.

After two rounds, Schrötter sticks back together. Lowes leads the rest of the field behind Baldassarri et Alex Marquez, but also in front of a lecuona who is well up, in the ranking and in mood since Lüthi is deviated from the trajectory. The latter fell on the next lap, licking the rear tire of the KTM with his front wheel. Binder. Lowes imitates him a few meters further in this turn 7. Two favorites are on the ground.

Pratama fall at turn 13. In front, a quartet formed under the direction of Gardner. Schrötter, Alex Marquez et Baldassarri stand out as the potential winners after eight rounds. The best beginner at the moment is Open up ninth, not far from its leader Marini seventh.

Gardner undergoes the onslaught ofAlex Marquez in the ninth round but he returns the favor in stride. Schrötter et Baldassarri are on the lookout... A lap later, the Marc VDS driver tries again, half succeeding since Gardner counter attack a little further. Whose brother you know doesn't have time to reorganize Schrötter the past. Not bad, but all that allows Binder to come back by aligning regular and rapid laps.

This time it's Schrötter who tries to bring into line Gardner. And he gets there, not without effort, when the halfway mark is reached. Marquez doesn't want to give up Schrötter and pass Gardner. Brad Binder, as expected joins the group of furious where Baldassarri has been content to observe until now.

There remain nine towers and Schrötter leads the way Gardner who does not give up his arms. Alex Marquez had to give in to Baldassarri and see Brad Binder et lecuona stick it.

One turn later, Gardner enjoy a drop of water Schrötter to take the lead while Baldassarri launches his attack and goes second. Brad Binder settle the account Márquez.

Six rounds before the end, Baldassarri is the fastest of the group. Open up sees himself betrayed by his machine. A trio emerges from the fray with Gardner, Baldassarri et SchrötterGeorge Martin fall and Joe Roberts also at turn 5.

Four laps from the end, Baldassarri pass Gardner at turn 5 who made the mistake of insisting. He makes a splash and drops back to third. The Pons driver seems well on his way to a second victory in a row after Qatar. If he succeeds, he will join his friends at the academy Morbidely et bagnaia in the feat!

Two laps from the goal, Gardner et Schrötter disembowel themselves, helping the Italian escape. For the Dynavolt driver, it's the descent to seventh place and into the clutches of Binder who doesn't pay him any more courtesy...

Baldassarri who perfectly mastered his subject won his second victory in two races. agitated fall at turn 5, Gardner et Alex Marquez get on the podium. lecuona is the first KTM in front Binder which closes the top 5. Schrötter is sixth and Marini seventh. NAVARRO leads his SpeedUp to a good eighth place ahead of the first rookie bastianini. Chantra closes the top 10. Bezzecchi is sixteenth.
