The 2019 Argentine Grand Prix pre-event press conference featured Andrea Dovizioso, Marc Márquez, Cal Crutchlow, Álex Rins, Valentino Rossi and Danilo Petrucci.

A hot topic, we asked the various riders what they thought of the Ducati spoiler and if the manufacturers of their bikes were going to follow this path.

Marc Márquez : “I don’t know about the others, but I know about Honda. They're trying to analyze, they're trying to understand what the specific function of this piece is, and what area you can improve on. And I'm sure all manufacturers will try. But I think this spoiler doesn’t add many tenths.”

Alex Rins : “yes, as Marc said, when a bike has something different, all the manufacturers try to do the same. Honestly, I finished 4th in Qatar and I raced with Dovi who had this spoiler, and I didn't feel much difference. Only in the straight, but it was for another reason.”

Valentino Rossi : “yes, during the last years, the Ducatis have always been strong and competitive. So I think it's smart to try to understand the paths that they follow. The spoiler is one of these, so why not? But I don’t know what will happen in the future for us.”
