According to MotoGP regulations, if it only rains before the Grand Prix, there will be an additional session, particularly useful for rookies. The specter of rain has hovered over the Termas de Rio Hondo track since the start of this second MotoGP weekend. But it has not yet shown itself, creating a rather complex situation for the pilots. Many fear it will arrive just in the minutes before the race, throwing teams' plans into oblivion.

According to the MotoGP regulations recalled on GP One, in cases like this a short session of 10 minutes is planned just before the race to allow the drivers to experience the level of grip on the asphalt with rain. And it is true that the Argentinian track already does not guarantee high grip when dry.

Furthermore, not all of the rookies on the grid have yet experienced MotoGP in wet conditions, which could represent a very high risk without any training. By the way, for Paddock-GP, it will be the race live, without Formula 1 or Tour de Corse to spoil the show…
