Very often, our race reports are written live, during them. On the one hand this avoids the ease of simply commenting on the ranking (you don't need us for that), and on the other hand it allows us to inform you of all the uncertainties that arise there.

And for the Moto2 race, the uncertainty that we had quickly highlighted was whether Johann Zarco was making a cautious start or whether he was in trouble. His press release gives us the answer.

But beyond this, we will note the constant panache of the French driver who, in each race, gives his all to seek victory, even when his direct opponents for the title are behind him.

Finally, at least as significant, the man is still gaining stature; After the revelation of his strong character to the whole world during the press conference in Barcelona, he now no longer hesitates to salute a valiant winner in his press release.
A fact rare enough to be highlighted; well done Mr Zarco!

We definitely can't wait for this French world champion to sign for a French team...

Johann zarco: “It's a very good weekend, since we finish second and we lead the world championship. The race was very difficult because there were some great fights between many drivers. I fought well and felt like I could find my rhythm and take the lead, but sometimes I made a mistake and lost positions again. I saw that Nakagami had taken the lead and I thought it would be possible to catch him. When I came back second he had set a good pace and so I gave my best and thought I could catch him before the end, even with the rain.
I think stopping the race was a good decision because the track was very slippery at the end, and it was risky.
I'm happy for Takaaki, he deserves it.
Overall, the weekend went very well, I'm very happy with how it went, and I want to thank my whole team because I'm very comfortable on the bike, which is the key to being in the lead. »
