The press conference held as a prelude to the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen brought together Marc Márquez , Alex Rins, Danilo Petrucci, Jack Miller, fabio quartararo and Alex Marquez.

As usual, we report here the raw words of fabio quartararo, without the slightest journalistic interpretation.

You made your first podium in MotoGP 12 days after having surgery for compartment syndrome. How are you feeling this weekend?

fabio quartararo : “of course, I feel better than in Barcelona. We removed some fluid from the arm but I think we arrived in Barcelona much better than expected. Here I am almost 100% and I am quite happy with the healing of my arm.”

After your first MotoGP podium, you seemed very calm and focused during the press conference. How much have you evolved since Qatar?

“Definitely, I've gained a lot of experience between now and Qatar, and I think it's definitely going in the right direction. We will do the same job here, trying to have a good Friday, to be in Q2 and to bring home a good result.”

You had a fantastic race in Barcelona, except for the first few laps. Do you have an idea to improve your start to the race?

“Above all, our weak point was the start and we lost 4 or 5 positions in almost every race at the start. There, we, open the quotes, only lost 2 places and I had contact with Marc at the start of the race when I was 3rd or 4th at that time. This is where I lost places but I think we are not so bad in the first laps, although we still have to work on the starts, and we are doing it.

Question from the children present:

Fabio, do you think you can win the Dutch TT this year?

“(Laughs) I hope so! (Laughs) no, but at the moment we are still learning in this category. We are moving forward step by step and we made our first podium in Barcelona, so we will try to get a good result and finish first rookie, and let's say that if we finish in the top 7, it will be a good result.
