Starting from pole position, Florian Marino led the race ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael Rinaldi when it was interrupted by the red flag. At the start of the second part, shortened to nine laps, Florian started sixth and finally managed to climb onto the third step of the podium.
Florian Marino started from pole position with his Yamaha R1, ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) and his teammate Roberto Tamburini (Pata Yamaha Official STK1000 Team). Dutch Danny DeBoer (BMW Van Zon Remeha) led the second row in front Marco Faccani (Althea BMW Racing) and the official Ducati Mike Jones (Aruba.it Racing – Junior Team). The third line included Michael Rinaldi (Aruba.it Racing – Junior Team), Frederick Sandi (Berclaz Racing Team) and Marvin Fritz (Bayer -Bikerbox Yamaichi) The three Kawasakis ofIllia Mykhalchyk (TripleM Racing), from the Dutch Wayne Tessels (Agro On-Benjan-Kawasaki) and French Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing) started from the fourth row.
Florian Marino was the fastest to start ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael Rinaldi. Jérémy Guarnoni was sixth. Maximilian Scheib fell without seriousness. Marino stood out in the lead alongside Razgatlioglu and Rinaldi. But the race was stopped at the red flag due to a crash involving Tamburini, Sandi, Fritz and Jones. A new start was planned for nine laps.
During the second start, with an identical grid, Razgatlioglu managed to start in the lead, ahead of Rinaldi, Tamburini, de Boer and Marino. Guarnoni was tenth. Razgatlioglu and Rinaldi opened up a gap of one second on de Boer and Marino, who returned fourth. Tamburini followed two seconds behind.
Rinaldi took the lead 6 laps from the checkered flag ahead of Razgatlioglu and Marino who had overtaken Boer and joined the two leaders. Razgatlioglu took command again, with Rinaldi, Marino and de Boer hot on his heels. Tamburini fifth was at 3.2. Guarnoni was ninth.
At halfway, Razgatlioglu was 0.7 ahead of Rinaldi, 1.1 ahead of Marino and 1.4 ahead of de Boer. The Turk increased his advantage at the end of the race, and he finally won ahead of Rinaldi, Marino, de Boer and a superbly recovered Guarnoni.
