If you are on vacation in Spain or Andorra and/or want to take advantage of exceptional deals to buy a branded helmet at a knockdown price, beware!

Shoei Spain was forced to issue a press release to warn about an Internet scam committed by the site www.shoeiespaña.es, an illegal online store that pretends to be an official distributor of the Japanese brand, while selling supposedly authentic headsets at a 70% discount compared to the normal price.

According to information provided by Corver, the only official distributor of Shoei in Spain, when a customer makes a purchase on the fake website, they receive a helmet imported from China whose value does not exceed 10 euros, without any possibility of get reimbursed.

“Dear customers, more and more fraudulent websites are offering imitations or counterfeits taking advantage of the brand image and prestige of many manufacturers.

Unfortunately Shoei Spain also suffered from this practice implemented through a completely fake website called www.shoeiespaña.es. This site advertises our helmets with official photos and very low prices that can attract many customers to purchase. The customer who makes the purchase receives a package with content that has nothing to do with what you purchased, in this case, headsets from China with a value of €10. When the customer wants to claim, he can't find where to do it and if he wants to reverse the charge on his credit card, he has to return a product that he really doesn't own.

We seek the cooperation of our customers and the motorcycling community to disseminate this information as much as possible and avoid fraud and unpleasant deception.

We remind you that the only official Shoei website for Spain is www.shoeicorver.com and, as an official distributor, there are no online sales for end users. Sales are made only through authorized Shoei points of sale in the Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and parts of Andorra. »

Shoei is not the only helmet brand affected and has warned its customers about the sale of counterfeit products. So, a few months ago, Arai also issued a press release to warn against replicas sold on Chinese sites like Aliexpress, where one could find Chinese helmets painted with Arai decorations and logos, at a price ten times lower than that of an original Arai.
