It was during the qualifying session last Saturday that Albert Arenas fell while fighting for the first row of the starting grid.

The official Mahindra driver of Aspar Martinez's team suffered a fracture of the third metacarpus of his right hand and had to withdraw from the Japanese Grand Prix.

He immediately began his convalescence there, but the delay is too short for him to participate in the Australian Grand Prix which will take place next weekend.

It will be Maria Herrera who will replace him. Unfortunately available after the disappearance of her AGR team, Maria was born on August 26, 1996 in Toledo and she competed in her first Moto3 Grand Prix in 2013 in Aragon. She finished 29th in the World Championship in 2015 and 31st last year.
