Due to a strong storm front approaching Austin, the FP3 sessions were once again postponed before being definitively canceled.
The previously modified timetable is therefore no longer valid and the new timetable will depend above all on the weather conditions.
As a reminder, the 4 rookies that are Fabio Quartararo, Francesco Bagnaia, Joan Mir et Miguel Oliveira have never ridden on a wet track in MotoGP!
Suffering regularly from tornadoes, Texans do not joke with thunderstorms and the entrances to the circuit were closed to the public until 16:30 p.m. because of lightning. Each person in the audience was asked to stay in their Faraday cage car…
Likewise, the marshals and cameramen left the area around the track to take shelter from the lightning.
For the moment, we remain on qualifying at 19:35 p.m. for Moto3, 20:30 p.m. (FP4) for MotoGP and 22:05 p.m. for Moto2.
A storm front is approaching and all FP3 sessions have been suspended. Track activity is slated to resume with Moto3 qualifying at 12:35PM. Please follow us here for updates. pic.twitter.com/qu6EgwybMS
