Nicholas Bulega will have surgery on Tuesday for compartment syndrome, also called muscle compression syndrome, and he will therefore not be able to honor his place in Austin. The VR46 Sky Racing team will only send Luca marini at the Moto2 race.
At Termas de Río Hondo, Bulega had to abandon the race last Sunday with five laps remaining as the pain in his right forearm became too strong. The 19-year-old then flew back to Italy to undergo further visits. The necessary operation is scheduled for next Tuesday.
His stable dear to Valentino Rossi will refrain from replacing this year's Moto2 debutant for the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. Open up will return to Jerez for the Spanish Grand Prix from May 2 to 5.
