The sky is still gray for this last verification session that constitutes the Warm UP.
The air is 20°, the ground is 23°, but above all, the track is dry!
These are therefore favorable conditions for finalizing the settings and choosing the tires for the race.
From the start of the session, Alex Rins took things in hand, albeit with a little less mastery than yesterday since Johann Zarco (with Franco Morbidelli in his wheel) immediately positioned himself 2 tenths behind the Sito Pons driver.
Halfway through the session Sam Lowes reduced the gap to 4 hundredths before the times continued to drop and the race was at this moment looking much more competitive than what qualifying could have left yesterday.
The British pilot even took command in front of a group of eight pilots in the same second; Folger, Luthi, Rins, Corsi, Nakagami, Zarco, Simeon and Morbidelli.
Simone Corsi then snatched the best time, by 4 thousandths, on the handlebars of her Speed Up.
The final packaging allows us to witness the fastest lap credited to Takaaki Nakagami, all under the eyes of Alex Rins who returned to his pit before the end of the session. Similar attitude for Johann Zarco who does not seem to want to seek the last tenths.
The serenity of strong men?
