If there wasn't Suzuki in the middle of the leading group, we could say that Moto3 built us a "little Italy" in Texas. That being said, this is almost as true for stables placed in orbit at Austin, since the five Hondas present in the top 5 are all managed by transalpine structures, that of Dallas Port in Leopard colors except. Will the Spaniards manage to take their revenge this Saturday, as will KTM?

Before answering this question, here is the table that refreshes our memory…

The fact remains that the man we will have to look for is indeed a fenati already a double winner in Texas and who dominated the two free sessions on Friday of this Grand Prix of the Americas in the category. 19° in the air and 20° on a track which was watered, as one might have feared. Those who did not manage to enter the top 14 the day before may already regret the turn of events. Starting with the latest winner, Masia. The weather is so capricious and the state of the track, so much criticized for the state of its coating, unknown, that the launch of hostilities is delayed...

But the storm passes while fenati specifies that he remains calm about his level this weekend, even if he says he has to work on his braking which could cause him problems in fights in the peloton. While waiting to know what the race management will decide on the fate of this morning, here are the conditions that prevailed an hour before the opening of the Texan site...

Even if the sky is not threatening, the state of the Texan track with its bumps and damaged coating is reminiscent of the last Grand Prix of Grande Bretagne of sad memory, notably with this kind of announcement which always sows doubt...

Some, however, spare no effort to put on a show despite everything…

It will be remembered that these conditions should only be present during this Texas morning. In fact, is there any point in getting started on the track? We learn in passing that in Texas, labor law would prohibit any activity in stormy weather... So, in Austin, when there is lightning, we are chocolate... Meanwhile, the race management announces that New information will arrive in thirty minutes. In addition to Silverstone, this type of procedure also recalls the way in which our SNCF deals with the delays of its trains...

The public was not invited to enter the site, again due to the storm. The race director announces sessions with a program consistent with that of the warm-up, i.e. with twenty minutes of exercise. The marshals remove the yellow stripes from the pitlane, posing additional dangers of loss of grip. Work which pushes back the moment when hostilities can begin... Here is the new promised program.

Finally, everything is canceled and the protagonists of this Grand Prix of the Americas will meet to compete directly in qualifying.
