Danilo Petrucci has had a good start to the season, despite some difficulties encountered. This weekend is no exception, since after a complicated Friday, the Italian managed to have a good Saturday, and advance to Q2 to secure a good place on the grid for the race.

After an excellent weekend in Qatar, during which he qualified on the front row and brought home a top 5, it was more complicated in Argentina for Danilo Petrucci. He had in fact started from eighteenth position, and had managed to move up to tenth, not without some controversy over his way of driving.

Away from all the hustle and bustle of last week, the Pramac driver focused on the Austin Grand Prix, which however did not start very well, Petrucci not at all appreciating the adjustments made on the route which made it extremely dirty.

Despite this, he progressed during the last free sessions, and managed to achieve a very good Q1, which allowed him to progress to Q2. He finally placed tenth, a result which made him very happy: “I can say that I am satisfied with this result. To be honest, this top 10 makes me as happy as my first row in Qatar because it comes after a very difficult Friday. I would like to thank my entire team for the work they have done. »

However, the Pramac driver remains cautious regarding his race objective, and prefers to aim for a reasonable result: “Tomorrow we may not be able to fight for the top 5, but I think we can fight for the top 10.”
