During qualifying for the Australian Moto3 Grand Prix, Jorge Martin achieved nothing less than his eighth pole position of the season!

With such a track record, one might believe that life is a long, quiet river for the 19-year-old Spanish pilot…

But no, not only has the Gresini team leader had a tough season on a physical level (big fall in Germany then accident during cycling training), but still no victory is on his record!

His current best result consists of a 2nd place in Austin and five 3rd places in Qatar, Argentina, Catalonia, Austria and the United Kingdom.

Let's hope for him that Australia finally gives him the recognition he deserves: he fully deserves it!

George Martin : “We have taken a big step forward. Yesterday we were a bit lost, but I was fast in today's session, especially with the worn tires, which is a very good thing for the race. Obviously I'm really happy with my eighth pole of the year and we will definitely try to make a good start in the race: the idea will be to try to escape straight away, but we have to stay calm and focused because that this is going to be a long race. »

Before aiming for the top step of the podium, the friendly number #88 will start on the same line as Gabriel Rodrigo et Joan mir.
