Rain showers, temperatures of 13° in the air and 17° on the ground, as well as a wind of 17 km/h, are the conditions prevailing this morning on the Phillip Island circuit.
Here are the references available before a 20-minute MotoGP warm-up in which it will be necessary to be careful, given the number of falls that occurred during the Moto2 session...

It's no longer really raining when the 23 riders take to the track but it's still very wet, and all the bikes are equipped with rain tires.
After one lap, Suzuki riders familiarize themselves with the procedure for changing bikes in preparation for a flag to flag race.
The first reference is given by Alex Espargaro, in 1'42.840, ahead Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso, Maverick Vinales and Johann Zarco.
This hierarchy of a turn is undermined by Jack Miller in 1'40.616, then Marc Márquez in 1'39.864 shortly before mid-session where we find the following classification: Marquez, Vinales, Miller, Dovizioso, Pol Espargaro, Barbera, Iannone, Petrucci, Crutchlow and Abraham.
Cal Crutchlow fall without gravity at turn number #6, but what is more surprising in these precarious conditions is Maverick Vinales which takes the lead in 1'39.478.
Marc Márquez didn't see it that way and achieved a 1'39.337 before seeming to have a problem with his Shifter. However, this did not prevent him from improving his time to 1'39.085.
The last minutes see Dani Pedrosa emerge from the bottom of the ranking to position itself 3rd while the poor performances are to the credit of Andrea Dovizioso, Cal Crutchlow, Jorge Lorenzo (who uses crutches after his fall yesterday morning) and Johann Zarco.
That was a seriously big off for # JL99 y'day.. he's using crutches today to walk around. He is out there riding now though! #AustralianGP pic.twitter.com/AYsoxXAg75
