Lately, Danilo Petrucci, Ducati Octo Pramac rider, sometimes joins the fight at the front, as he did in Japan before crossing the finish line in third position.

Could he help Andrea Dovizioso in the fight for the world title?

The question was asked during the Australian Grand Prix pre-event press conference…

Danilo Petrucci : “honestly, I didn't let Dovi go to Japan. I took a different line and braked harder so I widened a little. On the next lap, I saw Dovi and Marc braking a little later, but they were further inside. So it was a normal overrun. And I don't think Dovi really needs my help, if only because 99% of the time he is faster than me, whether in practice sessions or during the race. And at the moment we don't have team instructions, so I think Dovi is able to do what he has to do on his own. He is very fast. Of course, I don't want to be in conflict with him, like with all the other drivers. At the moment we have no team instructions, so we are running for ourselves. »

As a reminder, Jorge Lorenzo said he wanted to help Andrea Dovizioso if the opportunity arose… (see here)
