Si Joan Mir dominated the Moto3 race, it seems very difficult to determine a favorite for the 25 lap Moto2 race as the forces seem evenly distributed between the championship leader with 6 victories this year, Franco Morbidelli, and the other strong men of the moment who are Tom Luthi, Mattia Pasini and Alex Márquez, but also with the rising generation represented by Francesco Bagnaia, Miguel Oliveira and even fabio quartararo and Lucas Marini.

No risk of rain for this race which will take place with light sunshine on a 30° track and in 21° air.

When the red lights go out, Franco Morbidelli best jumps ahead Mattia Pasini whose birthday is today (32 years old) while on the inside of the bend, fabio quartararo et Xavi Verge cling and fall.

Four motorcycles also crashed further back in the peloton, following an incident involving Lecuona, Siméon, Nagashima, Marini, Cortese, Manzi et Baldassarri.

Even before the end of the first round,Tom Luthi pass Mattia Pasini and sets off in pursuit of Franco Morbidelli. He takes the entire peloton with him and the junction is made two laps later.

In the fourth round, Alex Marquez takes command and the fight begins with his teammate: one blow to you, one blow to me!

On the sixth lap, the pace picks up and we find a group of 4 drivers in the lead, Morbidelli, Marquez, Luthi et Pasini, slightly detached in front Bagnaia, Oliveira, Binder et Vinales.

Gradually, Franco Morbidelli widens a gap which amounts to just half a second on the ninth pass while Mattia Pasini gradually concedes ground.

Miguel Oliveira is then the fastest man on the track and begins to climb back on the leading trio.

Seven laps from the checkered flag, Tom Luthi place an attack on Franco Morbidelli but the two men push their braking to the maximum, both sideways at the limit: magnificent!

Miguel Oliveira made the junction six laps from the finish.

One turn later, Alex Marquez takes the best of Tom Luthi when Miguel Oliveira makes a mistake and hits his motorbike on his body.

On your mind, Franco Morbidelli now has almost a second lead and can just coast quietly to the finish.

In the championship, Franco Morbidelli, with 207 points, is 26 ahead of Tom Luthi, 54 on Alex Marquez and 74 on Miguel Oliveira.
