Barry Baltus

Barry Baltus will leave the RW Racing GP team to head to Fantic Racing in 2025. Zelos has just made official the Belgian's plans for the rest of his career in Moto2. He will therefore be associated with the 2024 vice-world champion, Aron Canet, in the Italian team.

After the Moto2 vice-world champion title won by Aron Canet in Malaysia, the Fantic Racing team can announce another piece of good news this week. The transalpine structure will complete its line-up for the next campaign with the Belgian rider, Barry Baltus.

The 20-year-old rider will already be competing in his fifth season in the intermediate class of the world championship, riding the Italian team's Kalex. Having arrived in the Moto3 World Championship at the start of the 2020 season, the number 7 quickly received a promotion to Moto2, and has since continued to progress within the team that accompanied him for four seasons.

This year, things have not been easy, and after a first career podium, won at the opening round of this season in Qatar, Barry Baltus has gone through a difficult period, both on a sporting and personal level. However, he regained confidence on his machine in the space of a few Grands Prix, to experience a certain return to form in the second half of the season.

Results that have served to confirm his potential to attract the attention of some of the best teams on the field. This is how the Belgian will join one of the few teams to have several successes in 2024.

"We are pleased to welcome Barry Baltus to our project, comments Stefano Bedon Project Manager of Fantic Racing Moto2. It was the right time for him to take on new challenges, after four years in the same team and already a podium to his name. Having a teammate of Canet's calibre will give him a great opportunity to continue to progress, and we are ready to fully support him in his adventure."

The structure that Stefano Bedon and the team manager, Roberto Locatelli, lead, will undoubtedly help Barry Baltus to progress. As there is no doubt that the experienced teammate who will evolve with him, and whose results speak for themselves, will be an added advantage next year.

"I am very happy to join Fantic Racing and I will proudly wear its colours, confided the main person concerned at the time of the announcement. This is a top-level team, ambitious and whose project corresponds to what I wanted for the rest of my career. They are constantly fighting for the top positions and I am very motivated by the idea of working with them.

We are convinced that it will allow Barry to reach a new milestone in his quest for success. Thank you to all our partners and all the fans who are accompanying us in this great adventure.
