Without really being an open secret, the scheduled arrival ofEnea Bastianini in the Pierer Mobility fold, and more precisely at Tech3, for the world championship MotoGP 2025 is not really a big surprise, as its agent Charles Pernat had leaked the news here and there. On the other hand, everyone expected that Augusto Fernandez would eventually be replaced by Jack Miller, himself dislodged next year from the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team by the revelation of the current year, Peter Acosta. And there…
And there, the press release published just now creates a sensation by also announcing the arrival of Maverick Vinales in the team ofHervé Poncharal, thus confirming the rumor that appeared in recent hours.
Here is our translation.
BASTIANINI & VIÑALES WILL BRING FIERCE SPEED TO MOTOGP™ AS TECH3 PIVOTS TOWARDSORANGE RED BULL KTM FOR 2025
A powerful team and new color scheme will mark a new era for the KTM factory presence in MotoGP™ in 2025. The team Red Bull KTM Tech3 rebranded will complete the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team with two stellar names, Grand Prix winners Enea Bastianini et Maverick Vinales.
The Italian, 26, from Rimini, and the Spaniard, 29, from Roses, will be fitted with factory KTM RC16 machines in 2025 as part of a multi-year deal and will form an orange Red Bull quartet with the stars Brad Binder et Peter Acosta in the adjacent configuration.
Enea Bastianini made his world championship debut ten years ago (after also reigning in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup races) with a KTM RC4. He achieved six wins and more than 30 podiums in Moto3™ and Moto2™ during a seven-season progression where he also improved to capture the 2020 crown in the intermediate class. Enea entered MotoGP™ in 2021 at the age of 23 and has recorded 5 wins and 12 podiums throughout his three and a half years in the division to date. Noted for his natural abilities and excellence in maximizing his technical “package” across the entire race distance, “La Bestia” will be a tremendous asset to the Red Bull KTM Tech3 lineup.
Already a race winner in 2024, and the first rider in the MotoGP™ era to triumph with three different brands; Maverick Vinales brings exceptional experience and talent to the team. The #12 was KTM's second Moto3™ world champion in 2013 in what was then the teenager's third tenure in Grand Prix and enjoyed a career period where four seasons in Moto3™ and Moto2™ were resulted in four consecutive top three finishes in the championship. He joined the premier class in 2015 and recorded the first of his 10 MotoGP™ successes (35 podiums) the following campaign. Viñales collected two championship bronze medals during his decade-long tenure and won at least one Grand Prix in seven of those ten years in MotoGP™. Maverick's thrill, pace and fitness make him one of the leading names on the MotoGP™ grid.

“We are very happy to have been able to integrate Enea and Maverick into our MotoGP project and to give them all the support of the factory so that they pursue their goals and achieve their maximum performance. It's clear we're talking about two of the fastest riders in the world right now and it's a compliment that they have faith in us and the first-class operation we've created with Red Bull KTM Tech3. The team's surname for 2025 says it all: it's time to strengthen the KTM name and we couldn't imagine a better way to bring that kind of value to the company than to see Enea and Maverick sporting the orange Red Bull. Now let's push through the rest of 2024 and look forward to that fresh start for next year. »
