From a sporting point of view, we can only infinitely regret this decision, motivated by economic and ecological considerations, from a manufacturer who has written some of the most beautiful pages in motorcycle racing, and hope that it does not cause a stain...

CANCELLATION OF PARTICIPATION IN MOTOGP™ AND EWC FACTORY AT THE END OF THE 2022 SEASON

Suzuki Motor Corporation and Dorna have reached an agreement to end Suzuki's participation in MotoGP at the end of the 2022 season. Suzuki will also end its factory participation in the Endurance World Championship (EWC) following the conclusion of the 2022 season. of the XNUMX season.

We will continue to race in the 2022 MotoGP and EWC championships, maintaining our maximum efforts to win the remaining races. Our goal is to continue our support of our customers' racing activities through our global network of distributors.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all Suzuki fans who have given us their enthusiastic support and to all those who have supported Suzuki's motorcycle racing activities for many years.

Quote from Toshihiro Suzuki, Deputy Director and President:
« Suzuki has decided to end participation in MotoGP and EWC amid the need to reallocate resources to other sustainability initiatives. Motorcycle racing has always been a challenging venue for technological innovation, including sustainability and human resource development. This decision means that we will take on the challenge of building the new motorcycle business operation by repurposing the technological capabilities and human resources that we have cultivated through the motorcycle racing business to explore other avenues for a sustainable society.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all our fans, riders and all stakeholders who have joined us and enthusiastically supported us since the development phase since our return to MotoGP.

I will continue to do my best to support Álex Rins, Joan Mir, the SUZUKI ECSTAR team and YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL to compete competitively until the end of the season.

Thank you for your support. »
