After two unfortunately very spectacular falls on Saturday, Swiss driver Tom Lüthi should give up participating in the Grand Prix.

The Garage Plus Interwetten driver first suffered a fall this morning, during the third free practice session. As he got up with a sore right hand, his motorcycle flew over a tire barrier and crashed on the other side of the protective fences, completely destroyed. In the afternoon, his team having succeeded in rebuilding a machine, Lüthi immediately set a reference time, before being the victim of a second fall, around ten minutes from the end of the session. The red flag had to be shown, so that the emergency services could do their job: “Thomas lost consciousness, but he woke up as soon as he arrived at the circuit medical center”, Explain Frédéric Corminboeuf, the boss of the dual Swiss structure. The pilot was then airlifted to a hospital in Brno to undergo additional check-ups.

This evening, Alessio Piana (Corsedimoto) reports a sentence supposedly attributed to Tom Luthi: “I will not be able to participate in the GP tomorrow. I need a little recovery due to shock and a few bad bruises. »

The Swiss rider's participation in Monday's test on the Ktm MotoGP is also questionable.
