Like every year at the same time, Dorna is working on its calendar for next season in order to release a first version during the month of August.

She also published a message on social networks proposing to the FIM to move the Dutch Grand Prix to the weekend of July 1 when it had taken place on June 25 this year.

This would undoubtedly postpone the German Grand Prix by the same amount, which would reduce the summer break to one month instead of the 5 (long) weeks this year.

As a reminder, the oldest Grand Prix meeting was traditionally held on Saturday from 1949 until 2015 (so that people could go to mass), before moving to Sunday in 2016 and having its modified schedules this season so as not to be in direct competition with F1.
