After years under the green and black colors of the soft drink Monster Energy, the French Grand Prix will pass under those of the helmet manufacturer HJC, unlike what will happen for the Brno circuit.

La Dorna issued the following press release:

Dorna Sports is pleased to announce that HJC Helmets will be the title sponsor of the 2017 French Grand Prix, which will once again host the legendary Bugatti Circuit. The event will therefore be named HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France and will take place on the weekend of May 20 and 21, 2017.

This title sponsor agreement allows HJC to strengthen its collaboration with Dorna Sports and MotoGP on the occasion of its 45th anniversary and having already been title sponsor of the Czech GP in 2016. Founded in 1971, the company will be represented by its athletes in the three categories of the FIM MotoGP World Championship next year.

MWK Hong, founder and CEO of HJC Helmets: “ As we celebrate 45 years in the motorcycle industry, HJC Helmets is pleased to continue its partnership with Dorna by becoming title sponsor of the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France. Like fans around the world, we love the highest level of competition that is MotoGP. We are proud to be part of this event. HJC chose to sponsor the Le Mans event because France is one of the most important markets for HJC and the headquarters of HJC Europe is also in France. We hope this event will once again be a great success for all racing fans! »

Paul Serracanta, Sales Director for Dorna Sports: “ We are delighted that HJC Helmets will once again be title sponsor of a MotoGP weekend in 2017. Following the incredible success of the HJC Helmets Grand Prix Ceske Republiky in 2016, continuing this partnership between HJC and MotoGP on a historic circuit such that Le Mans is fantastic news for all parties involved. »
