Barely got off his official Yamaha M1 after finally winning second place in this British Grand Prix, Maverick Vinales spoke to the site's microphone MotoGP.com.

Congratulations on this second place at Silverstone. You almost came back on Dovizioso in the last corner and you took a gamble with your soft rear tire. How difficult was it to deal with?

Maverick Vinales : “for the race, I let Valentino go because I knew I couldn't really stay in his wake. I braked very late but it was difficult to brake against another rider, especially Valentino who stopped really well. So I let him go a little bit, and I just tried to save my tires until the end, which I did since I set my best time on my last lap. I tried my best, Dovizioso had a great race today. I thought about the calculations. The championship is tighter, we are closer to the leader and I think we did a very good job today. Honestly, it was a gamble with the soft tire but I felt good with it all weekend, so it was very good. Honestly, I'm happy and we'll see what happens in Misano, but honestly we can fight hard. »
