#BritishGP MotoGP J.3 Crutchlow: “I’m disappointed because I came to win”

Cal Crutchlow finished fourth in his British Grand Prix, in the wake of the three official drivers with his satellite Honda of the LCR team. All on a dry track whereas last year, it was a wet bitumen which gave him the opportunity to climb onto the podium. A fine work in short, but the Englishman admits it now: at home, he didn't think about the accessits. But straight to victory.

« I'm disappointed ". The first words of Crutchlow on arrival were surprised. But the LCR pilot explains, with his little daughter Willow in his arms: “ I came here to win and here I am fourth. I didn't even manage to get on the podium. But we have reason to be satisfied because we were consistent and fast. However, the front tire was too soft for us. Marc and I had to manage it from the start and we did it quite well.you”.

« However, when you ride behind the drivers, the tire heats up and you can't pass these drivers because you don't want to put too much stress on your tire at the start of the race. My goal was the last five laps hoping to see my competitors' tires wear out faster than mine. And I honestly expected a great final duel with Marc. But it didn't happen and my rear tire started to spin. I also made a few mistakes. Mass was said ».

On the victory of Dovizioso, he added : " he drove superbly. There's no denying his performance. He played his cards perfectly and his Ducati is a real missile. He has a faster bike and he is able to maintain this advantage by braking like us ».
