There was still some nice laundry in this repechage session. A Pedrosa, two factory Suzukis and, why not, a Bradley Smith looking for redemption while riders looking for a contract for 2018 were more than ready to show their skills. Only two would be saved and advance to Q.2.

In 2'01.285, Kidneys confirmed his good performance in FP4 in front of his teammate Iannone et Bazas Petrucci had the bad idea of falling. Folger et Pedrosa did not let themselves be counted out and then took the two qualifying places for the rest of the events. The Tech3 driver set the benchmark at 2'01.162.
The last salvo gave Pedrosa and Foger as saved but inducted Rins as the first of the disappointed… Baz will start 21st.
