Is this the big scare from the last Czech Republic Grand Prix? A terrible fall suffered by Tom Lüthi during Moto2 qualifying in Brno. The driver was evacuated unconscious and then had to withdraw from the race. How is he ?

We did not go far from the tragedy considering the violence of the shock suffered. But the Swiss is solid and began to regain his senses a minute after his terrible accident. Morale also returned since all the thoughts of Thomas Lüthi are now focused on the British Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old Bernese first spent a night in Brno hospital then returned to Switzerland on Sunday evening. On Monday, the pilot went to his doctor to have a complete check-up. “ Everything is ok at the brain level“, reassured the CarExpert Garage Plus driver. However, he still needs calm and rest. He will also begin physiotherapy sessions this Tuesday, in particular to relieve his left side which suffered in the fall.

On his accident, Fred Corminboeuf, the manager of the Garage Plus Interwetten team declared: “ Tom needs to rest. The pain in the head is still significant, as well as in the left elbow, but there is no fracture. After such a concussion, you must be very careful. This is why upon his return to the country, he will undergo new x-ray checks. We will then see, depending on his recovery abilities, if he is able to participate in the next Grand Prix, in two weeks in Great Britain."

Tom Luthi: “After the accident on Saturday, I was not able to participate in the Grand Prix in Brno. I need time due to the shock and multiple bruises. I hope to be back at Silverstone and I would like to say thank you to everyone, my family, my team and my fans for their support during these difficult times. »
