If we compare the leaders of the qualification in the dry and the warm up in the rain, we find a few common names: Fabio Di Giannantonio (5th), Brad Binder (poleman), Enea Bastianini (3rd), Jorge Martin and Aron Canet.
Will the winner of the race be among them or will an outsider like Khairul Idham Pawi come out on top?
These are some of the questions that arise before the start of this Moto3 Grand Prix of the Czech Republic which takes place in the rain…
When the red lights go out, Binder takes command but is overtaken a few turns further by Enea Bastianini then Jorge Martin. At the end of the first lap, the Aspar driver had a lead of one second while Khairul Idham Pawi rose from 29th to 12th position.
On your mind, Jakub Kornfeil, the stage premises, and Aron canet, second in the warm up, tried to get back on Jorge Martin, before Brad Binder took the lead in the counterattack. Pawi is 7th.
The junction takes place on the 4th lap, when Pawi goes 5th.
A loop later, Binder takes command taking Mc Phee with him. Pawi and Di Giannantonio are only 2 seconds behind the group of four leaders; Binder, McPhee, Martin and Canet.
Little by little, Binder and Mc Phee escape while Canet falls at turn #3. The two leading men have a 3 second lead on the 9th lap, ahead of Pawi, Martin and Di Giannantonio grouped together.
At mid-race, the positions seemed stabilized and Pawi did not seem able to catch up with the leading men, who were faster than the young Malaysian. Brad Binder even picks up the pace and breaks away from Johan Mc Phee, seemingly showing total control over this race.
Apparently only because 5 laps from the checkered flag the South African driver made a mistake at turn #1, losing the rear. A few moments later, it's the turn of Pawi to fall in the same way at turn #12, which leaves the field open to John Mc Phee on his Peugeot-Mahindra, more than 9 seconds behind Jorge Martin.
Even more drama as Pawi crashes out of 2nd!@johnmcp17 has an ENORMOUS lead! #CzechGP https://t.co/y7boVNIpRT

The British driver will experience a serious warning 3 laps from the checkered flag but will reach the finish without any other problem, very detached in front of Martin, Di Giannantonio, and Bastianini, which gives Mahindra its first double.
EASY does it, @johnmcp17!

Jules Danilo concludes in 11th position, Tatsuki suzuki (team CIP) 13th and Fabio Quartararo 21e.
In the Championship, Jorge Navarro takes 6 points from Brad Binder but the gap remains enormous, with 61 points.
