After his victory in Austria, Andrea Iannone continued his momentum by constantly being at the front during the free practice sessions, then reaching the first row of the starting grid for this Grand Prix in Brno.

The wet track didn't bother him either, since the #29 kept control of the race until the 15th lap, when the Ducati rider encountered a problem with his soft front tire, thus being forced to let his opponents pass to go 8th under the checkered flag.

Andrea Iannone, 8th: “I am disappointed with the way the race went because today we had great potential again. I started the race without pushing very hard to save the tires as much as possible and I was still in the lead with seven laps to go, and it was only then that the front tire started to show some problems . Other drivers like Dovi, Scott and Jorge experienced the same problem before, perhaps because they attacked harder from the start, while I had a good margin and, as a result, could have driven well without attack and I was fast in any case. It's a real shame that the race didn't go the way we wanted. »
