Crutchlow arrived in Misano with a severed tendon following a domestic accident. “ A problem with parmesan! I cut a tendon. I went to the hospital the next morning because I was in a lot of pain and the blood was still flowing. So in the emergency room they figured out I had severed the tendon. I would have to keep holding my finger still for a month. Fortunately, we only use the clutch for the start. »

Valentino Rossi was injured while training off-road. Is it dangerous? “ I think it's not dangerous. I don't do it because I don't like it, and not because it's dangerous. I only train with the bike, I don't do anything else because I don't enjoy it. »

Andrea Dovizioso world leader, is this a surprise? “Yes and no, because the Ducati is good, and Dovi drives well. He's not the best rider in the world but is doing a fantastic job with Ducati. They work well, but I don't think he's stronger than me. I think we are both very similar. I am very happy for him. »

Running the Tourist Trophy? “Yes, I would like to, but if I did, I would have to get a divorce first!” (laughs) It's a fantastic event on a fantastic circuit. I live right under the mountain where they race, it's truly amazing. I took a tour and it was a unique experience. »

Happy with current results with the Honda LCR? “Yes and no, I always want to improve and do a good job. Last year we managed to achieve fantastic results. However, this year's position in the championship is not bad, considering that the start of the season was not easy. I have more points than during the same period last year. I'm happy but I want to improve, and I think next year it will be possible to do that. »

Satisfied with Michelin tires? “ Yes and no. In some races the tires seem good, in the next ones maybe not. It's something we need to improve on, but I think they're doing a great job, and it's not easy for them to give us the best product and always have good feedback. »

Finally, the arrival next year of Takaaki Nakagami at LCR? “ I think that it's good. I'm happy to have a teammate to work with. Then, this way, the whole team won't just come for me alone. It's hard when you have 50 people following you and you get a bad result. It is always better to have two pilots. »
