The 2024 FIM JuniorGP™ provisional calendar has been published by the FIM and FIM Europe.

Like this year, it has seven rounds but, for the first time, two of them will be held outside Spain for all categories; Misano and Portimao.

The May 5 circuit still remains to be confirmed, hoping that it avoids a duplicate, like Valencia this year. Why not a return to the traditional Albacete stage or, more ambitiously, a round in France?

As a reminder, the JuniorGP, ex-CEV (Spanish Speed Championship), has always been the anti-chamber of the Grands Prix in its entry category (125/Moto3) and was notably won by:

125:
Hector Barbera (2002)
Álvaro Bautista (2003)
Aleix Espargaro (2004)
Pol Espargaro (2006)
Stefan Bradl (2007)
Efren Vazquez (2008)
Maverick Vinales (2010)
Alex Rins (2011)

Moto3:
Alex Marquez (2012)
Fabio Quartararo (2013)
Fabio Quartararo (2014)
Nicolo Bulega (2015)
Lorenzo Dalla Porta (2016)
Dennis Foggia (2017)
Raul Fernandez (2018)
Jeremy Alcoba (2019)
Izan Guevara (2020)
Daniel Holgado (2021)
Jose Antonio Rueda (2022)
Angel Piqueras (2023)

And the list of those who distinguished themselves without winning the title is much longer, starting with Casey Stoner, Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, Joan Mir, Pedro Acosta, Bradley Smith, Dani Pedrosa, Jack Miller, Miguel Oliveira, Tito Rabat, Danny Kent, Nico Terol, Julian Simon, Remy Gardner, Toni EliasEtc. ...

As for the exception that constitutes fabio quartararo, you will have easily found it… twice titled!
