The image is unusual but extremely telling in itself: at Suzuki, when Sylvain Guintoli speaks after a run during the IRTA tests, we listen!
The French driver completed 55 laps, during which he tried many new parts.
At Suzuki, currently, it's a bit of a battle to try to remedy the rather disappointing results since the departure of Maverick Vinales to Yamaha.
Yesterday, in Barcelona, no less than three riders and five motorcycles were in action to try to redress the situation, the IRTA tests will continue today during a private session shared with KTM and Yamaha.
Sylvain Guintoli : “We had a very busy day today, testing a lot of different bikes, as well as different parts and also strategies. It's been very interesting, and I think it's a successful day, a great testing day with a lot of laps. We evaluated a lot of different new parts and we hope that they will give Suzuki some guidance on the direction to take with the development of the bike. »
Ken Kawauchi – Technical Director: “It was a busy day, with three riders and five bikes, including a test bike from Japan. We had a lot of items to test, but today, thanks to our mechanics and staff, we were able to check several of them. Now this is good, but it also gives me a headache because we had so much feedback from the drivers and now we have to analyze all the data again, and there is still a lot of work to do. Hopefully we will take away the important information from this day and find a positive direction to work. »
