Today there is a single IRTA test day on the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. Please note that IRTA tests do not count towards the five days of private testing authorized by regulations.
Also, there were many who took to the track this morning, starting with those who particularly suffered throughout the weekend, namely the official Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team.
And they were right, since Maverick Vinales, during his 26th lap out of currently 38, achieved a 1'44.932 which constitutes the best time at 13 p.m. If the ranking is reassuring, the time remains 3 tenths slower than that achieved by the Spanish driver during qualifying. Moreover, we note that it only took four rounds to Jonas Folger to get as close as 5 hundredths.
With temperatures of 32° in the air and 52° on the ground, the conditions are similar to those of yesterday, which will nevertheless allow some comparisons to be made.
For the rest, we generally find the hierarchy seen during the Grand Prix, with official Honda in good shape, just like the Aprilia of a Alex Espargaro very disappointed to have had to retire yesterday due to an engine problem.
We will also note the return ofalex rins on the Suzuki, even if Sylvain Guintoli is supposed to ride today, as well as the arrival of Mika Kallio which replaces a Bradley Smith au damaged little finger.
